supervisors are responsible for the management and safety of construction projects. Through planning, organizing, and controlling projects, they create an efficient and safe workplace, including materials and personnel. Depending on the size of the project or company, they may supervise teams of electricians, mechanics, or engineers.
Forman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project.
Welder welds or brazes pieces of metal together. They use heavy machinery which melts the appropriate shapes out of their material and smooths it into shape. A significant part of being a Welder includes reviewing blueprints before cutting any plates
Carpenters construct, install, and repair a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial structures and fixtures. In general, carpenters work with wood, steel, and concrete. Carpenters are also often involved with demolition and maintenance of these structures and fixtures.
A Fitter, or Pipe Fitter works on a construction site to install industrial pipework in factories and large buildings. Their duties include installing and repairing pipes using welding methods, completing jobs on time and ensuring safety on a job site.
A Mason is a construction professional who works with various materials on a job, specifically stone, concrete and tile. They build items and they can identify issues like cracks in mortar or water damage from tiny fissures between stones.
Helper/Labourer, your duties may include: Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas. Installing and removing concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks and barricades at construction sites. Mixing, pouring and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
